The Top 5 Home Run Hitters In MLB For 2015 + Homer Stats

Giancarlo Stanton should contend for the NL HR championship crown in 2016. He is capable of cracking 40 - 50 HRs if he can play a year completely healthy. The Marlins are lucky to have one of the best young hitters in the game on offense, and to also have Jose Fernandez as their #1 Pitcher. Finances dictate the club will only be able to secure one long term - and Fernandez has more years left of team control, and is going to cost the team less cash.

The Marlins are lucky to have one of the best young hitters in the game.  In 2015, he clubbed 27 HRs in just 279 AB for the season.  That is about a HR every 10 AB. If he could play 150 games in a year, he may easily crack the 50+HR mark.

There were 9 guys who tallied 40+ HRs in the Major Leagues and 6 of them came from the AL and just 3 came from the NL. Furthermore, out of 20 players that cracked 30+ HRs, only 6 came from the Senior Circuit.

The National League has also seen that Todd Frazier joined the White Sox in the offseason.

The Jays don't lose much off their roster from the entire playoffs, except for David Price. 3 Blue Jays topped a total of 120 HRs in Donaldson, Bautista and Edwin Encarnacion. Those jacks represented 51.7% of Toronto's team leading 232 HRs on the year. The Astros finished 2nd in the bigs with 230 HRs, but not one of their players cracked this list.the World Series.

Baltimore, New York and Seattle all cracked the top 5 teams, all hailing from the Junior Circuit.  The best homer hitting club from the NL was the Dodgers, who also did not have a guy make this list.

Mark Teixeira hit 31 HRs in just 111 Games, and finished 3th in HRs per AB at 1/12.65 AB which trailed just Chris Davis and Bryce Harper.  Lets all hope ‘Tex’ can play a full year in 2016.

Losing Chris Davis and his 45+ HR power would be very difficult to replace. The O's have been rumored to have offered him a 7 YR deal worth $150 MIL. Should Davis not accept this and move elsewhere the organization should still spend the money allocated for the big 1B.

Losing Chris Davis and his 45+ HR power would be very difficult to replace. The O’s have been rumored to have offered him a 7 YR deal worth $150 MIL.  Since the start of the 2013 season no one has hit more longballs than this guy at 126 Homers.  That includes his 26 HR campaign in 2014 where he was suspended for 50 Games.  Sandwiched in those years Davis led the MLB both times.  He is also the last player to hit 50 HRs in the MLB in 2013 with 53 HRs that season.

CARGO's battering mate Nolan Arenado emerged as the premiere 3B in the National League in 2015 3 Slashing .287/.323/.575 - with a league leading 42 HRs and 130 RBI. At 24 next year, he is coming off both a Gold Glove and Silver Slugger year. Can he hold on until the club becomes competitive before losing his patience with the organization?

Bryce Harper has finally come of age as a budding superstar in the league with 42 HRs in the 2015 season - which tied him for the NL Lead. He may be capable of launching up a 50 HR season in his career - however I will believe that he will be pitched around a lot more in 2016 than he was last year.

Yoenis Cespedes led all LF for HRs with 35 on the campaign in 2015. He picked a contract year for his best season to date out of the 4 years he has been in the Major Leagues. Cespedes hit 17 HRs with the Mets in 2 months, after smacking out just 18 in the first four months with Detroit. Cespedes finished in the top 40 for both leagues in respective big fly's, and was tie for 13th overall with Manny Machado and David Ortiz.
