Houston Chapter – James, Astros Country

Los Angeles (NL) Chapter – Matt, Feeling Dodger Blue

Feeling Dodger Blue was started by Matt Smith as a way to voice mostly his displeasure about the franchise that tortures him. It has become a medium for him, and now his partner Gareth Perry, to voice concern, raise ideas and be creative when it comes to evaluating one of sports’ most storied franchises. With Matt’s straightforward, journalistic approach, and Gareth’s witty, no excuses style, FDB has become a site Dodger fans can get accurate and interesting information.

Milwaukee Chapter – Jim, Bernie’s Crew

Jim Breen began blogging on the Milwaukee Brewers in 2008 and was asked to move the blog to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel in 2009. He graduated from Lawrence University in 2009 with a double major in Religious Studies & Government and also started his Ph.D. work at the University of Virginia before taking a hiatus. Jim is most widely known as the blogger who broke the Zack Greinke trade in December 2010, and he has recently began writing weekly for FanGraphs.

New York (NL) Chapter – Steve, The Eddie Kranepool Society

Philadelphia Chapter – Rich, Fightin Phillies

Pittsburgh Chapter – Pat, Where Have You Gone Andy Van Slyke?

San Diego Chapter – Mike, Padres Trail

Mike Metzger has been President of the San Diego Chapter since May 2011.  He started discussing box scores at a young age with his father, and has been hooked on baseball ever since.   A 20-year Navy veteran, Mike had the good fortune to be stationed in San Diego near the end of his career; shockingly, he liked it so much he stayed.  Mike has been writing about baseball since 2006 and about the Padres since 2009.  He is a member for the San Diego SABR chapter Steering Committee and during the season works part-time as a datacaster for MLB Advanced Media.  Baseball, family, Navy:  other than that, he’s a dial-tone.

San Francisco Chapter – Troy, 22gigantes

Troy Nelson spent nine years as Sports Director for four different radio stations covering the San Francisco Giants, Oakland A’s, Golden State Warriors and Sacramento Kings. He had the privilege of covering Roger Craig’s humm babies — Matt Williams, Kevin Mitchell, and Will Clark, for whom this blog (and his dog) is named.
Like many bloggers, Troy started 22gigantes.com just to give himself an excuse to write about his favorite childhood team. Troy has been a Giants fan since he was six years old, when his dad took him to his first game in 1970. His all-time favorite players are Willie McCovey, Vida Blue, Mike Ivie, Jack Clark, Darrell Evans, and Bill “Mad Dog” Madlock. Hell, he even liked Johnnie LeMaster. Forty-something years later, he has a seven-year old kid himself who’s an even bigger Giants nut than he was at his age.
When he wasn’t at the ‘Stick, Troy was watching Giants games on TV or listening to them on KNBR (pretending — as an aspiring 12-year old broadcaster — to be Lindsey Nelson or Hank Greenwald). His Mom and Dad didn’t always appreciate it, though. Particularly, when they would come into his bedroom at 1:00 in the morning and find him under the covers listening to an extra innings game in New York or Philly on his handheld transistor radio. “Turn that radio off! You have to get up for school in five hours!”
Troy is married to his beautiful wife Laila and has three sons. They live in Sacramento, California.

St. Louis Chapter – Daniel, C70 at the Bat

Washington Chapter – Dave, District Sports Page

Dave Nichols is Editor-in-Chief and Washington Nationals Page Editor for District Sports Page.com. He is credentialed to cover the Washington Nationals and the Washington Capitals. Previously, he wrote Nats News Network and Caps News Network and spent four years in commercial radio covering the Baltimore Orioles, Washington Redskins and the University of Maryland football and basketball teams. He co-hosts “Nats News Weekly”, an Internet radio show on PrimeSportsNetwork.com and has been a guest talking Caps and Nats on 106.7 The Fan and 106.7 HD in Washington, DC. In 2011, Dave wrote a weekly guest column for MASNSports.com about the Nationals. Dave is a life-long D.C. sports fan and attended his first pro game in 1974 — the Caps’ second game in existence. You can follow him on Twitter @DaveNicholsDSP or@NationalsDSP.
